Volunteers are the backbone of any non-profit organization; this is especially so at HOW. Volunteers provide direct client services such as transportation to medical and social service appointments. Volunteers also provide companionship on a one-to-one basis and assist with household errands.

In adition to assisting with client services, volunteers also help with fundraising events and office administration. We sometimes call on volunteers to serve on committees formed by the HOW Board of Directors to work on specific projects.
